Therapy for Adults

Every client is unique, but as an adult considering therapy, my guess is that, in some way or another, you feel stuck.  Maybe you feel stuck in your relationship, or in your career, or you feel trapped in sadness or grief.  Perhaps you feel emotionally 'stuck.'  Maybe you’re not even sure how you got here.  Perhaps it’s becoming harder to experience joy, or to understand your connection to the world.  Maybe a friend or loved one suggested therapy might help somehow.

Whatever it is, it's my job to help you become unstuck.  Together, we'll figure out where the stuck part 'lives' and work together to understand its causes and consider possible solutions.

I have a particular interest in working with adults as they experience major life transitions—a change in career (or retirement), a marriage or divorce, a new baby or a child leaving home, an illness or death of a loved one.  Perhaps a milestone birthday, or a change in circumstances, has led to difficult ruminations about your future.  Together, we’ll consider the meaning of this challenging time in your life, while shining a light on possible roads ahead.  Along the way, we’ll consider your unique strengths and values and work together to discover how they can be the foundation for a life rich with meaning and joy.
